opened the paper and realized 2 years ago today i got the keys to a medical clinic/pharmacy. people thought i was crazy to try to build something from nothing in a neighborhood that was abandoned. like anything ive ever owned or bought, its old and beaten, abandoned, used, worn down, and i fix it. people spread rumors as they tend to do, tried to stop me from involving music there, put me through mental and physical breakdowns, and i lost almost everything that was familiar to me before the last couple years. now i walk through my neighborhood and everyone has dollar signs in their eyes. id just like to thank anyone that has been there for me through these past couple years. we will announce our opening later this week and the city paper has a story about me coming out that will shed some light on it. heres what my horoscope said when i flipped to the back. i feel like the luckiest guy on earth more and more everyday. this summer will make up for everything ♥
Fellow globe trotter and neighborhood resident, Jacob Klensin, has used his talents and his camera to travel the world, while documenting everything in between. Jacob stopped by The Pharmacy this winter, to capture our build out as it has been progressing. This first set shows the earlier stages of our renovations. Stay tuned for more updated photos courtesy of Jacob’s own 2oneFly and also check out some more his work at Figure of Fighting and JacobKlensin.com

As of now, we are finishing renovations to accomodate our Coffee Bar as well as Live Music and Art related events, recording and rehearsal spaces, as well as loft spaces above. all starting in early June. We plan on making some very exciting announcements over the next few weeks concerning the great team of local vendors we have been working with to provide one of the most unique coffee shop environments in Philadelphia. We will also be announcing our kickoff block party details, which will showcase some of Philly’s best artists and musicians.
We would like to thank everyone who has supported this project over the last year and cannot express how excited we are to finally open our doors to the neighborhood, arts, and music community. Stay tuned and stay free! <3 THE PHARM
